Happy Birthday OMA!

Oma, today (even though it's already 11 pm) we celebrate you! (and your brother for that matter).
Thank you for inviting us for a delicious dinner to Tahoe Joe's!

For those of you in bloggyland, here are the top 5 things you need to know about this great mama and Oma:

1. She can cook like it's nobody's business.
Case in point: Snicker doodles, Lasagna, Strawberry Jello, 7-layer dip, Ritzy Chicken, Ice cream cake! For those of you who have had the privilege to indulge, you know what I'm talking about.

2. You need her, she's there.
Pretty self explanatory. If you need a tangible picture of self-less, look no further.

3. Chatter-bug
(Oma...don't be offended here...) She can talk with the best of 'em. There is never a dull moment or awkward pause...there is always something to talk about. I believe it's called spider-webbing and she and I are two peas in a pod when it comes to this. :)

4. She's a modern day "June Cleaver."
She has mended Steve's jock strap one too many times to count, often right before the game...THAT is a GOOD mama.

5. She keeps the "main thing," the "main thing."
It's apparent her relationship with God drives her. She serves, she consoles, she counsels, and she cares.

Thank you Oma for being such a foundational piece in our lives. Happy Birthday!

  1. What a blessing. Cherish her every moment. Once they are gone you realize the unfillable place they occupied in your life.

  2. Of course she's great... she's my wife... a living example of Proverbs 31

  3. way to keep your bluetooth in dad! Hope you all had fun at TJ's. Wish we were there!

  4. That's exactly the kind of grandma I want to be!
