Food Inspiration

In December I was inspired by a good friend of mine, Amy, to organize my magazines which led to me wanting to organize my recipes.
We decided to do a week's worth of budget friendly recipe swapping in our Mountain Farmgirl Sisterhood Chapter shortly thereafter.
This organization has transformed the way I plan our meals and consequently the "health" of our meals.
Being organized is saving me money, allowing me to buy more fresh foods, and keeping my family's belly satisfied.
Yeah for Amy and her inspiration!
Do you have friends who inspire you?
You should let them know, and say THANK YOU!

Pants season has almost come and gone.
I am putting my foot down and not shelling out 'da moo-lah on pants right now.
So, we gave some new life to some of Macy's favorites.
We took two of her old shirts that were "favorites" that had gotten too small.
I let her pick out the part of the shirt that made it her "favorite."
We used those parts to patch up the "knee-holes".
Macy calls them her, "fancy pants."
I agree.
And the best part...they were FREE!

Time Out.

love this. a lot.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Although Dr. Seuss' birthday was really March 2,
we decided to celebrate him today by baking a Dr. Seuss Pizza hat!
It was inspired from the article in the Family Fun Magazine.
The kids loved it!
It also happens to be uber easy.
We finished off the evening with a little, "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?" and "The Foot Book."

Happy Birthday to the best Doctor!
