Macy is a DECADE

Saying someone is a decade sounds way different than saying someone is 10 years old, right?
Well it does to me.
My baby turned 10.
Ten.

Since we had just celebrated her birthday trip in San Diego, we had a very small gathering for her
"fr-amily" birthday party.

Her day started with tradition.
Macy and Cole are long time friends and we started the tradition of going to Blue Sky Cafe each year to have them celebrate together.
Macy's Great Auntie Jamey surprised her during Lego Camp with popsicles for the class.
So thoughtful and sweet.
The class sang to her, twice!
We went super easy this year with a taco dinner followed by
banana splits and an outdoor movie night.  The perfect summer celebration.

The kids munched on popcorn and sweets while watching an all-time favorite:
"Because of Winn Dixie"

When Macy was an infant I read her the book by Kate DiCamillo.
It seemed fitting that 10 years later we would watch the movie.

I amand while Macy may have aged 10 years, I HAVE NOT. #denial
