May Rewind

May was one of my favorite months this year because it gifted us with so many opportunities to do things as a family.  We invested deeply into our time together and cultivated another season of growth.

We attended our first ever family camp hosted by The Well at Hume Lake.  We spent some unplugged time in fellowship with each other, friends, and God.

The girls participated in a talent show and took first place for their "group act!"

Macy's 6th grade class visited the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and I was able to go as a chaperone.

We spent lots of time outside tending to my succulent obsession.
Macy even helped plant an herb garden.

I spent much of my time in the car driving the kids to and from practices.
It was a very busy travel basketball and baseball season.

Z lost another tooth and really started to fall in love with reading.
He loves being able to state that he read an entire chapter book in one day.

Macy started the hard process of preparing her mama's heart for a big transition with school.
Soon, she would be promoting to the junior high and leaving the comfort zone of being at the same school with her mama.
This transition was much harder on me than Macy.

We celebrated.
A lot.

We attended the Josh Hansen Foundation dinner with friends.

We celebrated Mother's Day at Rocket Dog.
Brauts and Brew.

We celebrated my nephew Sage turning ONE!

We celebrated Macy's last elementary school field trip to Point Lobos.
We took time to celebrate the life of our friend and teacher, Mr. G
by placing some rocks at his favorite field trip location, especially near the trentifolia

We celebrated Macy learning how to make a daisy chain.

We celebrated Zach making the Sierra Travel Baseball Team.

And finally, we celebrated Dad a little bit early at the Donuts with Dad appreciation breakfast.

May was really good to us.
